The standardization of BIM practices in German-speaking countries is still largely in its infancy. Internationally, however, there are hundreds of different BIM standards.

In Austria, ÖN 6241 was published on July 15, 2015. More detailed information here...
In Germany, the VDI is responsible for standardizing BIM workflows. An initial document was published in January 2017, but the majority of the standards are still under development.

In Switzerland, standardization is being developed by the Swiss Society of Engineers and Architects (SIA).
