    This course covers the fundamentals of the buildingSMART organization, as well as its key data formats and digital standards. The course provides an overview of buildingSMART’s role in the international context of openBIM, the use of open formats such as IFC, BCF, IDS, and bSDD, and their significance for standardized, model-based collaboration in the construction industry. The goal is to develop an understanding of the structure and operations of buildingSMART and to demonstrate the practical implications of these standards for the planning, tendering, execution, and operation of construction projects using openBIM workflows.

    The target audience includes, in particular, BIM managers, architects, engineers, planners, facility operators, as well as students and professionals in the field of construction planning and management.
