Building Information Modeling is associated with a wide range of terms, methods, and processes. This section describes the theoretical foundations of this methodology, explains the most important terms, and provides an overview of the relevant norms and standards in German-speaking countries. In addition, the various types of tools used in the BIM methodology are explained.
